NEW DELHI: Google is one of the top work destinations for any tech enthusiast. The company has been featured in the list of finest offices to work at since a very long time now. It was even awarded as the best place to work for in 2015. Employee's love this company so much because of the perks they get here, which includes death benefits, free food and on-site health care coverage. Another factor that makes it popular is the unique way in which they hire employees. According to PayScale, 86%of Google employees say they are either extremely satisfied or fairly satisfied with their job.

However, there have been cases where people have exuded discomfort and problems with the company. One such case that has come into light recently is of a software engineer, Matthew Kramer-LaPadula, who narrates his personal experience of working at the tech giant. According to him, no place can get so big without a certain level of politics within the system.

Calling his experience of working at Google 'poor', he said that he felt a lot of competition and disregard while working there, despite company's idea to build an atmosphere of teamwork.

He even said that inside the company, if 'you dislike procedure or someone dislikes you, you will be removed.'

Due to its stature of being a large organization, he says that the idea of working in Google is both glamorous and prestigious. However, because too much emphasis is internally placed on an individual's performance, the open concept falls apart on a large scale.

He says that the organization has a lot of young employees who look up to 'stars'. They work their way to get closer to them. He also points out that the younger crowd lacks the knowledge, which comes with age and life experience.

In his experience, he said he felt unheard and patronized despite having open lines of communications. And the blame of this was placed on him, which he believed as well, until he moved on and realized that it was Google's atmosphere.

It's hard to say that this is true for the entire organization, but in a place with over 50,000 employees, there is bound to be some fallout. We have contacted Google on this, we still await a reply.
