Reliance Jio SIM Now Available to Anyone With a 4G Phone?

Highlights

  • Reports claim anyone can now purchase a Reliance Jio SIM
  • All you need is a 4G phone
  • You get 3 months of unlimited usage free with every SIM
Reliance Jio SIM is now said to be available for purchase by anyone with a 4G phone. Multiple users on Twitter are reporting that they've been able to purchase a Reliance Jio SIM with their non-Lyf/ Samsung/ LG phone, though others claim that the Reliance Digital officials are unaware of this new offer.
Just on Friday, it had emerged that Reliance Jio had opened its Jio Preview offer to more Samsung smartphones and select LG smartphones, which means owners of these smartphones can walk in to the nearest Reliance Digital or Xpress Mini Store to get a new Jio SIM with 3 months of unlimited data, voice calling, and SMS, as well as access to Jio apps and services like JioOnDemand. Now, if reports are to be believed, anyone with a 4G SIM can buy a Reliance Jio SIM.

However, the LG and Samsung customers had to generate a code through the MyJio app, though it seems owners of other 4G phones can just walk into a store to buy a Reliance Jio SIM without having to worry about QR codes and the likes.
Reliance Jio, which is currently doing beta testing of its network, was previously available bundled with its own Lyf range of mobiles. The service was then extended to a small range of Samsung smartphones.
Jio Preview Offer can be availed at all Reliance Digital stores (including Digital Xpress and Digital Xpress Mini), and majority of the modern trade mobile retail chains across the country. Customers need to submit their KYC documents to avail the free Reliance Jio SIM.
The offer is valid for a period of 90 days from the activation of the Jio SIM.
Lately, Jio Preview Offer has also been made available with JioFi (Wi-Fi hotspot) at Reliance Digital, Digital Xpress, and Digital Xpress Mini stores
